A video of some water play

I was observing some exploratory play on Friday. These friends were working together to fill a big bottle. Lots of collaborative work was taking place, it puts a huge smile on my face!

This is what was provided .....

And this is the learning taking place ...

Fabulous writers

This week we've been doing lots of writing and on Friday Riley showed the class how to make a book with a hole punch and treasury tags. The writing table had a waiting list!!!

Here's a lovely collage of the fantastic writers of FS2.

Tic tac toe

We have been learning how to play tic tac toe using minibeast rocks.

Gold Book

Congratulations Samuel and Lilly

I am delighted with the way Samuel tackles his reading. I love it when we spend time enjoying a story, Samuel reads with lovely expression.
Lilly continues to gain confidence in her phonic skills. She is using these skills to blend sounds together to write words. Last week she was really proud of herself when she wrote a big sentence!! I'm so proud of you Lilly.

Flat Stanley is ready for an adventure

Today we posted our Flat Stanley's to places across UK and as far away as Tasmania, Thialand, and Dubia. We are really excited about what we will receive from the teachers and children. They will hopefully return photos and pictures of Stanley by the end of June and we will display them in class. In total we have sent 35 Stanley's, it would be amazing if we got them all back.

We went out together to post the envelopes. Mrs Frisby went into the post office to send the letters to Ireland, Tasmania, Dubai and Thialand. They needed special stamps.

Big Talk

This week we will be talking about brushing teeth. In our story this week, we found out that Cinderella had the most beautiful smile, much nicer than Griselda and Prunella!!!
Can you remember why Cinderella had sparkly white teeth?

You can watch the Cbeebies toothbrush song and tell everyone how you keep your teeth healthy.

Gold Book

Congratulations Fran and Logan

Fran is in the gold book because of her consistent mature attitude towards behaviour and learning in FS2. Keep it up Fran.

Logan has been enjoying playing with his friends in the areas of the classroom. He is showing how sensible and kind he can be towards others.
