Flat Stanley

We read the story about Flat Stanley and decided to send our own Flat Stanley to schools in UK and overseas. The furthest one is going is all the way to New Zealand.

Flat Stanley ready to go in the envelope.

Getting ready to go and post our letters.

Here we are outside the postbox. Mrs Horn took some children inside to buy the special stamps needed to send the letters to Ireland, Denmark, Dubai and Gran Canaria.

We're looking forward to finding out about the life of children from these places.

Flat Stanley has arrived home

Phoebe's Flat Stanley arrived back at school today. We were so excited to receive a package and couldn't wait to see what was inside.

The package ready to be opened

Waiting to see what is inside

Wow! Lots of letters

A letter from the teacher

Phoebe's Stanley says hello

Listening to find out more about Castle Donington

Some of the many letters

Reading about the adventures

More careful listening

Reading about the airport

I wonder where Castle Donington is. Let's have a look

Castle Donington isn't that far away. It's the red pin on the map.

We can't wait to receive more over the next couple of weeks.

Flat Stanley is in Liverpool

I am very excited to share this photo of Flat Stanley enjoying himself in Liverpool.

We should receive more Stanleys over these next few weeks. I'll display these as soon as they arrive.

This was the Stanley Joshua sent.

Flat Stanley came to visit us all the way from America

A school in America sent a letter, inside was Flat Stanley. Have you heard the story of Flat Stanley?

We listened to the story and found out that Stanley was flattened during the night because a pin board fell on top of him. Oh no!!

When Stanley came to see us, he went on an adventure around our classroom.

It's time for Stanley to go back to America. He is in the envelope ready to go.

Good bye Stanley.
