Fun so far this week

Here are some photos from today. We have children exploring the number table, adding nutmeg to the play dough, drawing fairies, tackling the finger gym challenge, decorating and painting rocks and writing in the sand.

Look at these writers

We've recently introduced a daily challenge the children are encouraged to tackle.

Mrs Horn's challenge was "write your name on the big roll of paper"

Gold Book

I found it really hard to just choose 2 children to be mentioned in the Gold Book because I am delighted with the way everyone has settled into FS2 and is able to follow our new routines. But here are two children who have shone brightly these first few weeks;

Ella C has settled wonderfully into class, so much so, you would think she has been with us for years. I am loving having Ella in FS2, she is kind, loving and so friendly.

Madisyn is the happiest person I have ever met. I love to see her bright smile each morning and it stays all day. Thank you Madisyn for being our little ray of sunshine.

What a busy week

This week has gone so fast. We have been using whiteboards to have a go at writing our names. First, we drew pictures and then showed off our writing skills. We've also celebrated a birthday and enjoyed some very tasty buns.

Here are some photos of the learning in FS2

Next week we will be reading....

In July we read 'What the ladybird heard' and enjoyed playing with the story tray

Next week we find out what happens on the farm this time. I wonder if the Ladybird will come to the rescue?

If you want to remember the first story, here is Julia Donaldson singing the song.

See you all tomorrow.
